and a democratic secular state.

- Homage to Haifa: History, Ethnic Cleansing, Working for the return of

There will be specia l workshops for activists to participate in discussing
experiences and building together for future struggle:

For more than a hundred years, our Palestinian people suffe
r from therobbery of their national and human rights. The ma
jority of Palestinians arerefugees dispersed all around the
world. Gaza , which stands strong in itsresistance to the oc
cupation, is subjected to intense criminal siege. Theracist occupation regime continues is campaign of ethnic cleansing against< /pre> our people all around the country by way of confiscations, demolishi nghouses and villages, the confiscation of identity papers a nd prevention ofresidency rights, the prevention of marriage and denial of familyunification, and the building of walls and settlements. All of us sufferfrom oppression, discrimina tion and subjugation in all aspects of life undera brutal ra cist regime.Our Palestinian people regi stered heroic pages in the struggle to defendtheir legitimat e rights, first and foremost the right of return, till theyb ecame to symbolize sacrifice for freedom on both Arab and International
level. The Israeli response was always severe oppression and mor
e wars. Lastyear´s campaign of massacres against our p
eople in the Gaza Strip is ablatant example... Their aggress
ion and occupation are not limited toPalestine , but als o hit other Arab peoples and countries. The danger of an
< span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: "Times New Roman"">all out war is still threatening the security of the region and world peace.
Year after year we see how the so called &
quot;peace process" is only camouflagefor the imperiali
st political projects. This process doesn´t contribute inany way for the restoration of the robbed rights of our people. It is on
lydesigned to support the racist Zionist regime as it acts t
o perpetuate theoccupation and to prevent the return of the
refugees. The only program for the relie
ving of the suffering of our people and for asolution of the
conflict is the restoration of the patriotic and nationalri ghts of the Palestinian people, the adoption of the principles ofdemocracy and human rights as the base for a solution and rejection of andresistance to ethnic cleansing, oppression and racism. I t means the returnof all Palestinian refugees to all the are as from which they were expelledand the constitution of one democratic secular state on all of the Palestiniannational s oil.On 20-21/6/2008, the first Haifa co nference for the right of return and thedemocratic secular s tate in Palestine was convened. It aroused a lot ofinterest and was widely welcomed among political and social activist andmilitants that resist Zionism from within (in the part of Palestine that wasoccupied since 1948), Arab and Jews, as well as on a wid er Palestinian, Araband International level. Following the s uccess of this conference we aredetermined to continue on th e way to achieve its lofty goal, toward theestablishment of an international coalition that will support this program.&n bsp;Abnaa elBalad movement, as the initiator of the convenin g of the first Haifaconference, calls on all interested part ies, groups and individuals tocooperate for the success of t he second conference.
